Built by DayZ players. For DayZ players.
About Pretorian
A DayZ community with servers built by DayZ players, for DayZ players.
What we stand for
Fair play and active administration. We run our own anti-cheat, and a real admin checks every ban before it happens, backed by recorded evidence, so legitimate players are protected from false bans.
Why six servers
DayZ players want different things: pure vanilla survival, a few quality-of-life comforts, fast fights, a new map to learn, heavy mods, or survival without player killing. Rather than one compromise, we run a server for each.
Active admins
Our admins play on the servers too, so they see problems first-hand. [HOW ADMINS WORK: response times, how they're chosen]
An AU/NZ community

Our journey
Paul found DayZ while recovering from COVID, after hearing about it on YouTube. It took six months to track down the only disc copy in New Zealand, for the PS4.
Some of his colleagues turned out to play too. That led to a cloud-hosted server, and then to the Pretorian clan.
